QTC10 é uma compilação que celebra 10 anos de Rádio Quântica com 10 faixas originais de artistas que fazem parte da história desta rádio comunitária.
A urgência de ‘Irmãs de Sangue’ por Odete, abre esta colecção, com reverberações funk e club envoltas numa rica névoa sónica em que guitarra amplificada convive com violinos digitais. Mix’Elle traz-nos ‘Sub jungle’ diretamente do seu home studio em Braga: breaks engenheirados com precisão, uma linha de baixo tensa e intensa, lasers e bleeps. Influências da tradição jungle continuam em ‘We will rave together again (remix)’ de DJ420@ôa - manipulação de breaks, baixos gordos e pads emocionais levam-nos a acreditar: ‘This will not be the end. We will not back down’. DoisPe_s, beatmaker nortenho, traz-nos um momento para desacelerar e refletir com os encantos de ‘Mainada’, numa canção de melodias doces pontilhada com glitches e sidechain. Gonsalocomc usa samples clássicos da década de 80 e melodias planantes para criar uma suave faixa de indie rap.

Cigarra entra em cena e volta a acelerar as batidas com ‘Mundiada’, um híbrido breaks + baile funk com uma linha de baixo elástica e divertida que serve de base a samples e cortes vocais. Passsa o testemunho a Lynce e a sua ‘Difficult Transmission (Dub Mix)’, uma jam de máquinas onde influências IDM convivem com a escola baleárica, em quase 7 minutos de descoberta livre.

‘Square1’ é a oferta sonora de Phoebe, station manager e assistente de estúdio da Quântica por tantos anos - aqui a sua vasta experiência em clubes transparece, com stabs de baixo irresistíveis sobre sintetizadores de timbre intrigante e beats cheios de groove. A dupla Wugori e Otto (o primeiro na produção, o segundo no microfone) contribuiu com mais um bálsamo jungle com MCing e uma guinada para territórios mais intensos na produção na última secção da música. ‘Crawl Costas’ fecha a compilação, uma faixa de Violet que combina percussão esparsa com cortes em breaks, um baixo mutante e stabs ora cinemáticos ora jazzy.

The urgency of ‘Irmãs de Sangue’ by Odete opens the collection, with funk and club reverberations wrapped in a rich sonic haze where amplified guitar coexists with digital strings. Mix’Elle brings us ‘Sub Jungle’ straight from her home studio in Braga: precisely engineered breaks; a tense, intense bassline; lasers and bleeps. The jungle tradition continues in ‘We Will Rave Together Again (Remix)’ by DJ420@ôa - manipulated breaks, fat basslines and emotional pads make us believe: “This will not be the end. We will not back down.”

DoisPe_s, northern beatmaker, offers a moment to slow down and reflect with the charms of ‘Mainada’, a sweetly melodic track sprinkled with glitches and sidechain touches. Gonsalocomc draws on classic samples from the 1980s and drifting melodies to craft a smooth slice of indie rap.

Cigarra steps in and revs up the rhythm again with ‘Mundiada’, a breaks-meets-baile-funk hybrid with an elastic, playful bassline that underpins vocal chops and samples. The baton is then passed to Lynce and his ‘Difficult Transmission (Dub Mix)’, a machine jam where IDM influences intertwine with Balearic sensibilities, unfolding into nearly seven minutes of free exploration.

‘Square1’ is the sonic offering from Phoebe, Quântica’s long-time station manager and studio assistant — his extensive club experience shines through here, with irresistible bass stabs, intriguing synth tones, and deeply groovy beats. The duo Wugori & Otto (the former on production, the latter on the mic) contribute another jungle balm, featuring agile MCing and a final section that dives into more intense territories. Finally, ‘Crawl Costas’ by Violet closes the compilation — a track that blends sparse percussion with chopped breaks, a mutating bass, and stabs that shift between cinematic and jazzy.
